All I can say is thanks. Some professional bloggers post 3 to 5 times a day on their blogs, simply because this prolonged addition of new content helps the crooks to get regular readers.

Good stuff.. Something I learned from my days of marketing 101--low involvement products (like candy) require a LOT, LOT, LOT of advertising. The key is not only to generate buzz, which is so important with the introduction of a new product, but also to maintain top-of-mind recall--so when people stop at the drug store for their quick sugar fix, they can pick up the candy bar (or in this case, bag) that they remember the clearest..

Tusar,

I agree with the solutions and ultimately it depends on Google to match the relevancy for the advertiser. American Apparel cannot do that on their own because there are literally thousands of videos uploaded a day. I think this is the main motivation behind what YouTube is doing to automatically generate captions for the content you upload. Not only does this make YouTube more accessible, but the transcript can be parsed for relevant phrases much like the way Gmail parses our inboxes to show ads we would like, ads that aren't as pesky. Its great that American Apparel got a good ad out of this, but ultimately this is an innovation on Google's end.
